god sent 846 candles

MY whole life God has been shaping and molding me to fit His perfect plan. All this has happened in both ways I have come to realize and ways I haven't come to understand yet. For these past few weeks, the path God had called me on became rough and bumpy. Doors seemed to close left and right, and I began to DOUBT. Doubt that I had heard God incorrectly and even doubt that God knew what He was doing. Yes, I was being very very human.
WALKED into church this Sunday...lights dimmed low, hundreds of candles lit and only a guitar propped up on stage. Worship began, acoustic guitar played old hymns and soft music. I sang to my Jesus and questioned the direction I was going...was I doing what He wanted?

WHILE quietly listening to the church sing, I saw myself. I was in a special needs classroom going over our daily schedule. In this stillness I heard, "Yes Lindsay, this is right". Everything at that moment felt right, and feeling right was a great feeling. Yet, the human I am asked God for another CONFIRMATION. Confirmation that what I was hearing was truly Him and not in my head.
AFTER worship and announcements had passed, the Pastor asked all the TEACHERS to stand up. He felt lead to lift up and pray over the educators in our community. The prayer he prayed were made up of the same words God spoke to me a year ago. Another tug on my heart and I heard, "This is the change I want you to make".
CAN you say CONFIRMED?

I am in awe of how much my God loves me.
Personally loves me.

oh kitchen

WELL school starts back up on Monday, which means I have just enough time to squeeze in one more little project...the kitchen. My boy and I live in an apartment, which means I have little control over the mixed matched appliances and old cupboards. So I am taking control on a budget...here's what I'm working with.

IT'S a fairly large kitchen for a two bed two bath size apartment..but a tad theme confused.

FIRST STEP was meeting one of my favorite people at World Market for some color searching. After an hour of browsing and sitting on the floor of this amazing store debating the color dilemma, we found inspiration. Inspiration in a rug. I love the rustic/a tiny bit muted colors.

CAN you tell someone got me hooked on spray painting??? So these are just a few ideas and starting points.

NOW don't expect any drastic changes...but I think it will be the little things that will make a difference

newbie yet stalker

Well I'm a NEWBIE on blogging
however
I've been STALKING blogs for quite a while now.

WHY I AM BLOGGING:  Well besides the pestering from friends...here are some reasons why I've decided to officially join the blogging community. This past year has been full of changes and challenges. Husband, my boy, joined the United States Coast Guard. Before the coastie life, my boy and I had barely spent a week maybe week and a half tops apart in our entire relationship. Needless to say this life style change was a shocker yet strengthener for us. Reading and relating with military wive's blogs has been a HUGE aid in adjusting to these changes. Another coping strategy has been crafts crafts crafts. I've become a mega DIYer...and love getting ideas and inspiration from all the talented bloggers out there.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM MY BLOG:

There is going to be a lot of talk about my boy.

Tons of praise to my Jesus.

A couple posts about our Lynnee and yes...crafties!
